headphones The Famous Abba is honored to share with you this week’s Chinuch Podcast from Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb.

Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb, the leader of the Ganei Ha’Ela community, is the former rabbi of Congregation Shomrei Emunah, a prominent synagogue in Baltimore, MD. In August, 2010 Rabbi Gottlieb and his family made aliyah to Israel, where they currently live in Ramat Shilo, a suburb of Ramat Beit Shemesh.

While at Shomrei Emunah Rabbi Gottlieb was known for his inspiring talks, numerous weekly shiurim, high energy, and strong leadership, as well as for his deep care and concern for every member.

Since making aliyah Rabbi Gottlieb has taught at Yeshivat Shaalvim, Midreshet AMIT, and Mercaz Tiferet, and has also lectured for Adult Education programs in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Yerushalayim, Chashmona’im, and Modi’in. He is currently writing a book on the Laws of Yom Tov for the OU Press and this coming year Rabbi Gottlieb is excited to be a Ram at Yeshivat Ashreinu, a new yeshiva in Beit Shemesh.

Rabbi Zev Leff is one of Israel’s most popular English-speaking Torah educators. For more than 20 years, he has served as the rav (rabbi) of Moshav Matityahu, a small religious community located in central Israel adjacent to Kiryat Sefer, and just outside Modiin. In addition to the shiurim (lectures) he gives seven days a week at Matityahu, Rabbi Leff is constantly traveling to speak at schools, yeshivot, seminaries, community centers, and events throughout Israel and abroad.

Rabbi Feldman is a Rosh Yeshiva at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary at Yeshiva University, as well as an instructor in the Sy Syms School of Business, and serves as the Executive Editor of the RIETS initiative of YU Press. He is an alumnus of Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh and received his ordination (Yoreh Yoreh and Yadin Yadin) from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, where he was a fellow of the Bella and Harry Wexner Kollel Elyon.

Rabbi Feldman is the author of “The Right and The Good: Halakhah and Human Relations” (Jason Aronson, 1999; expanded edition, Yashar Books, 2005), and “Divine Footsteps: Chesed and the Jewish Soul” (Yeshiva University Press, 2008) as well as three volumes of Talmudic essays entitled Binah BaSefarim, which have been published with the approbations of R. Avraham Schapira, R. Ovadiah Yosef, R. Natan Gestetner, R. Zalman Nechemiah Goldberg, R. Asher Weiss. and others.

Rabbi Feldman is the co-editor of nine volumes of Talmudic essays and Jewish Thought and serves on the editorial board of Tradition, and has also written for publications such as Jewish Action and the Oxford Handbook of Judaism and Economics He is a frequent lecturer in locations across America and abroad.

Rabbi Feldman is the spiritual leader of Ohr Saadya of Teaneck, NJ, where he resides with his wife, Leah, and their children.
